Lynas Rare Earths

Australian (ASX-listed) rare earths producer; its US subsidiary Lynas USA LLC is building light + heavy rare earth separation facilities on the Texas Gulf Coast -- the planned heavy REE facility would be the first outside China able to separate heavy rare earths (China processes ~90% of rare earths globally). DoD/DPA Title III funding: ~$30M (2021) for the light REE facility, later expanded to a total US government contribution of ~$258M covering both light and heavy separation capacity.
