Hardywood Park Craft Brewery

Hardywood Park Craft Brewery acquired Charlottesville-area brewer Starr Hill in an all-equity deal, combining Virginia's two largest craft brewers by volume (per NielsenIQ data cited by the companies). The deal is described as closed on Oct. 1, with the brands, breweries and taprooms kept intact. Hardywood co-founder Eric McKay becomes CEO of the combined company.
