About Gold Coast

The Connecticut Gold Coast isn't New England — commuting data shows its strongest tie runs to Westchester County, New York, not the rest of Connecticut. Greenwich, Stamford, and Westport host one of the densest hedge-fund and private-equity concentrations outside Manhattan itself: Bridgewater, Point72, AQR, and Tudor Investment all sit within a few miles of each other. The "Gold Coast" name comes from the corridor's yacht clubs, which are as much a part of its economic identity as the funds themselves.
