About St. Louis

St. Louis sits at the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers, and Monsanto's historic headquarters there left behind a plant-science and agtech research base — the Danforth Plant Science Center and the Cortex Innovation District both grew out of that same agricultural-science lineage. Washington University anchors the biosciences side of an economy that's agricultural science more than it's a typical biotech hub.
