About Baton Rouge

Baton Rouge sits on the Mississippi River in the middle of Louisiana's petrochemical corridor, one of the densest concentrations of refining and chemical manufacturing in the country. LSU anchors the research side, and the region's health and research economy grew up alongside that industrial base rather than instead of it.
