About DMV

The DMV is built around a single fact: it's the seat of the federal government, and the intelligence and defense agencies headquartered there are the region's actual economic anchor, not a side industry. Georgetown, George Mason, the University of Maryland, and Johns Hopkins up in Baltimore all feed a workforce that skews toward cleared, government-adjacent technical work most other regions don't have.
