UBTech

UBTech, a Chinese humanoid robotics manufacturer, completed acquisition of a 43% controlling stake in Fenglong, a maker of garden-machinery, automotive and hydraulic parts with expertise in casting, machining, and circuit board assembly. Fenglong disclosed plans to supply up to ¥81 million (~$12 million) of electromechanical components to UBTech in 2026. The acquisition reflects UBTech's strategy to vertically integrate manufacturing capacity for its Walker S2 humanoid robots, which sold 1,079 units in 2025 and 921 in the first half of 2026, including orders from Airbus for manufacturing plants.
